I want Vista to look like XP!

It can seem strange, but tha MAIN reason I don't upgrade to Vista is the new
theme, that to me looks too glacial and more tiring for the eyes than Luna.
I don't understand why MS has decided to not give the option to use the XP
look. In XP there was the option to use the classic theme, but after 6 years
of XP I don't want to come back to classic if I don't like the new look!
Moreover, classic is uglier in Vista than in XP.

So, how can I apply Luna Theme in Vista?

Windows XP is one of the most hideous operating systems I've ever used. I
can't imagine why anyone would want to replace the elegant look and feel of
Vista with the XP look. Maybe you need to give the Vista look and feel
another chance. Try turning off some of the "glass" effects and middle with
the colors to find something you like.

One person's Elegant is another person's Unusable. A brain and eyes with
normal color vision that have been around for only 25 years may process pale
pastel colored text on a pale pastel background, and thin pastel edges of
windows overlaid on other pastel windows, and 'see through stuff' with ease
and pleasure. A 50 year old brain and somewhat color blind eyes with
floaters in them might find this elegance painfully unusable. Of course,
Vista does give us the high contrast option, which is stupidly engineered --
the black background forces the eye's retina to open fully, thus minimizing
'depth of field' and the ability to focus on the screen (but black is
stylish, right?). I suppose the Vista look wins for the younger generation
and those who believe in style over substance no matter what the cost.

I too would like the XP-classic look.

I'm 25 and prefer XP look
Also disabling Glass and other effects, I find XP look more usable and
"beautiful".

Vista may look pretty, but it is unusable. There are still some of us that
prefer the keyboard to the mouse. You cannot drive Windows from the keyboard
with any confidence or efficiency if you are constantly straining to tell
which Window has the focus. The title bar of the key window needs to stand
out. What were they thinking? At least you can go back to the classic theme
(though Office 2007 will not comply with the theme change.)
