WARNING: WU client failed installing updates with error 0x80240020

Hi,

I have had some problems installing updates, this follows on from an earlier
problem I had with WGA install which has now been resolved. I have Windows XP
Home . In addittion IE 7 will not download as it has 0 bytes?

I have run %windir%\windowsupdate.log and get WU client failed installing
updates with error 0x80240020. PLease see below

[And I strongly recommend using
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/dow.../getitnow.mspx as the
installation source, not Automatic/Windows Update. Make *certain* that you
check in at Windows Update immediately after installing IE7 and install any
critical updates offered. If Optional Updates category offers Root
Certificates update, I recommend installing it to take full advantage of
IE7's additional security.]
