Computer crashed so had to replace MB. Vista complained that it was not
genuine. Tried reactivating via net - no luck. First call to phone
activation, automated didn't like codes to sent to never never land where I
was dropped by Microsoft support after waiting approx. 10 minutes. Second
phone activation, finally got through the automated system which sent me to
someone who actually answered (Yea!)
Verification was completed and Windows doesn't complain - except for the
little NAG watermark in the lower right corner of my desktop will NOT go
away. ????? Any help? I've verified and reverified genuine, restarted and
cold booted. It's just a pain to look at.

How does this related to Windows Update, chucko?

Please follow this simple troubleshooting procedure, courtesy of MS MVP
Carey Frisch:

1. Download and install the WGA Diagnostic Tool
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=56062

2. After running the WGA Diagnostic Tool, click on the "Windows" tab and
then click on "Copy to Clipboard".

3. Next, visit the following website and create a post in the "WGA
Validation Problems" forum and paste the results of the WGA Diagnostic Data
in a detailed post:
http://forums.microsoft.com/Genuine/...aspx?SiteID=25

4. A WGA troubleshooting specialist will analyze the data and recommend an
appropriate solution.

Restart your computer, then visit http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/
and click on Validate Windows.

Thank you for the info - I'll give it a shot. Sorry about the wrong post - I
thought I had it right.
