My Vista Ultimate, Windows Media Player, in some way, do not want to play
WAVE files.

I must have done something to cause that. At the moment I have to use WMP
Classic to
play the files.

Can somebody please help ?

Piet

Media Player Classic loads fast and gets the job done. Stick with it
coz you'll probably just screw it up again anyway lol.

You should pay no attention to the rabid old little dog Murphy. The old
dog has got a smart mouth. And he cannot help you as you can see.

Minor glitches are very common, where one part of your operating system
doesn't want to "play ball". If this has just happened to you in the recent
past, the simplest thing is to use System Restore back to a date when you
remember the system worked properly. If you do this and you are using an
antivirus program such as Norton, you should first disable the setting in
Norton that has a box ticked to protect that program against attackers.

If you try this remedy and it works for you, please let us know.

Did they work previously? What happens now when you try?
