WCESCOMM.exe I have Active Sync on my computer at home and at work.

when my Ipaq is not connected I notice on my computer at home that
ActiveSync is always using recourses somewhere 5-17%, yet at work it sits at
zero.

Any ideas why?

Thanks.

No. Different hardware.
Same OS.

So you don't think different hardware makes a difference? The less powerful
machine works harder?

Hi,
If you are not synchronizing it should not take up more CPU. Have you
installed the latest version of ActiveSync?

Less powerfull?
One machine is a 600 Mhz with 256 Mb Ram
The other is a 350 Mhz with a 1Gig of Ram
Which one is less powerfull? and why would one run using 17 percent and the
other at zero? If the application is not in use it should be at zero?

Uninstalled Reinstalled cleaned the registry latest
version.
It's not syncing when I see this. Naturally I would expect it to use
process when in use.

Don't rant, it won't help you. Run a benchmark program.

Run something like Taskinfo, it shows how much processor time each thread is
running. Memory will make little difference to the activesync application at
these levels.
