WCESMgr.exe - Application Error

I installed .Net Framework 3.5 and sice then AS 4.5 will not wirk. It loads
and connects to my HTC WM 6.1 device, but the WCESMgr interface will not
open.

The fill message is: The application Failed to initialize properly
(0cxc0150002). Click on OK to terminate the application.

I have uninstalled AS and deleted all folders, rebooted and reinstalled
without success.

Can anyone help please.

You are not alone, unfortunately I've read your post after an update. I've also just accepted an update from Microsoft and now Active Sync 4.5 will no longer work on my XP computer, that worked without problms previously (it does still work on my other computer running XP that has not had a Microsoft update). "WCESMgr.EXE application error: Application Failed to initialize properly (0xc0150002)"appars whenever I attempt to sync, or just open Active Sync. Repair does not work. Removal and reinstall does not work. Stopping anti-virus &/or firewall (Zone Alarm 2010) does not work. Running a registry cleaner/ repair tool does not work.
I have come across some people who have tried to uninstall NET framework and eventually reinstall...this seems to creat aven bigger problems. Microsoft web site seems to offer no solutions or information (yet) for error code 0xc0150002. Does anyone have any possible soultions,or work around ?

I forgot about my original post as there was no response.

I did indeed go through the pain of uninstalling .Net 3.5 which then seemed to corrupt .Net altogether cusing a lot of issues. I eventually reinstalled .Net 2.0 and allowed XP to upgrade with automatic update and it seemed to sort itself out. I am not saying this is the way to go but I cannot offer anything more positive!

I somtimes wonder if the time wasted trying to sort out Microsoft created isses is worth the time and effort?
