WDK 6001 installation fails

I am trying to install WDK 6001. I managed to download the installer
file which is an iso file from connect.microsoft. I extracted the files using
WinRAR. When I run the KitSetup selecting the Full Development Environment,
it fails. The error message I get in a new window is
"
EULA
F:\Documents was not found"

In my machine the hard drive is mapped to F: rather that the normal C: Do
anybody know what am I doing wrong?

Thanks,
Tony

What do you mean extract the files? Use one of the many free virtual CD
drives (I use the one at http://www.osronline.com/article.cfm?article=410 )
to mount the disk and run the install.

By extracting I mean convert the .iso file to a directory in the hard disk.
I think I managed to fix the problem. I extracted the iso file to a pen drive
(c: in my case). When I ran the KitSetup from the pendrive and specified the
path on my hardisk it worked. I dont know why!!

Thanks for your help

We know neither. Try to do as Mr. Burn adviced.
The directions on the WDK download page are to write the ISO on a physical
CD,
or mount with some virtual CD /dvd emulator.
Nowhere it tells to extract the files.
