I need help, Adobe reader just decided to stop working. The only change I
made to the computer, when this happened, was, I downloaded the latest
windows security update. Now if I open any web browser, I use Firefox and IE,
the Adobe program gets corrupted so that I can’t open it at all. I have to
uninstall the program and reinstall. It will work fine until I open a web
browser. I tried telling Adobe not to open in a web browser, that didn’t
help. I tried uninstalling the windows updates, but no luck. I got a popup
wile uninstalling, that said, if I continue with the uninstall it might
adversely affect Adobe reader. Seems like it already did that. I am running a
Dell Dement ion XPS t750, Win 2000 Professional, 512MB ram I haven’t a clue
what to look for, and I hope someone can help before I decide to reformat.

Are you running Acrobat Reader v7?

Help > Check for updates now > Are both v7.0.1 and v7.0.2 updates installed?
