Web cam doesn't work with Vista Enterprise + WLM 8.1.0178.00

hi there,

I started to get very annoyed with Live Messenger web cam, it never work
after i started using Vista and WLM 8.1.

Environment:
Windows Vista Enterprise
WLM 8.1.0178.00

Problem:
When i try to make video call via MSN, it will try to connect to the other
party, and keeps on saying 'connecting', and keeps on showing advertisement,
and never get connected.
Later i try again, it will only show black screen. Then i found a threat
saying that i need to change my current location in profile, which i've
chosen australia with a valid postcode, but it still appear to have same
problem on displaying ad without success on video transmission.
I was successfully using MSN7.0 with Windows 2k before, and video worked fine.
In my new computer, i have skype installed too, video works fine.

Greetings Aaron,

Just to restate, you're trying to initiate a video/webcam conversation with someone and the
advertisement doesn't load, thereby the video never loads?

If that's the case, you may want to verify that you haven't used any sort of tools or hosts
files to block ads, as it'll block this from working.
