Web cam

I just sign up to Windows Messenger (8.1) and would like to try my web cam.
Is there anyone who can help? I've tried to find a place here (like a chat
room) but with no luck. I currently use Yahoo Messenger and have had many
frozen cams. Not sure if its because my cam has a USB1 connection or Yahoo
problems. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I've got the same pb of frozen cam on USB1.1 connection.
It works slightly better if you remove all other non needed USB devices (it
will freeze later). Also try to avoid moving too much.
