Hi, I am using K9 Web filter on a desktop running Windows XP Professional
SP2. Within K9, I have all websites blocked except for www.microsoft.com,
www.windowsupdate.microsoft.com and www.update.microsoft.com.

When I go to www.microsoft.com, I click on windows update. I then get a
screen saying windows is checking for available updates and then the screen
changes to say the website has encountered a problem and cannot display the
page you are trying to view. Error No. 0x80080003

When I uninstall K9, the update works just fine.

Please help.

Thank you.

Have you added these:

http://*.windowsupdate.microsoft.com
https://*.windowsupdate.microsoft.com
http://download.windowsupdate.com

Can only suggest you contact K9 regarding their product.
As an alternative, you may be able to disable the program and then do WU manually and then
re-enable it.
Just a thought.
