webcam audio problem

I'm using Logitech Communicate STX webcam. Audio works ok for about 10 secs
then just becomes loud hiss. I've swapped the camera for another and
problem remained (so it's not a faulty device). Same camera works fine on
other PCs, therefore I suspect some configuration problem. Any ideas anyone
?

Are you using the "Video Call" feature or "Voice call feature?" Does your
video still work while the audio hisses?
