Webcam not working in MSN Messenger

Hi, I cannot get my webcam to work in MSN Messenger
I am using Windows XP
Messenger 8.1
ATI TV Wonder Pro A/V Capture
Digital Camera or Digital Camcorder

When I go thru Audio Video Setup it works fine. I select ATI Wonder Pro and
I see the video image in the screen, i press finish. Then when I go to
Webcam Settings its tells me that a camera was not detected. When I try to
"show my webcam" it says the same thing.

I use this setup in other video chat softwares and they work without a
hitch. Can someone pls help me out?

Yes, these types are basically hit or miss due to how Messenger handles the drivers in
question.

The actual "Setup" part doesn't use the same video component as Messenger does which is why
it works there but not in the actual application.

Is there anything i can do to get it to run, or do i need to get an USB style
cam?

Have u tried starting a videocall instead of only start cam?
