Windows XP Home SP2
Logitech ClickSmart 420 webcam

Windows Live Messenger
Version 2009 (Build 14.0.8089.726)

My webcam used to work great on all my messengers (WLM, Yahoo, Skype)
Now it works fine on Yahoo and Skype, but freezes 1-2 minutes after I start
it on WLM
The problem is consistent….
any ideas how to correct this problem? It used to work fine on WLM

Hi,

I agree with Menno here.

However, as a side note, Messenger shows you what your contact is seeing. So if your contact
stops receiving your video for whatever reason (connection failure/packet loss/wireless
loss), it'll stop/freeze on your end too.

I was finding that WLM suddently started freezing for a significant period
when initiating webcam conversations. Then i recalled I had had this
previously, and it happened when my ASDL router had been powered for a
significant length of time. Resetting the router (power off and on) fixed
the issue. It is worth a try.
