After installing XP (Upgrade from win2k) I go to the windows udate site and
get to the page where it asks me "Express" or "Custom". If I click either
button I get the following error: "The website has encountered a problem and
cannot display the page you are trying to view." The site is also very very
slow to load. Anyone else experiencing slow MS Update or problems such as the
above?

You receive a "Windows Update has encountered an error and cannot display
the requested page" error message when you try to install an update

Error code when you use the Windows Update or Microsoft Update Web sites to
install updates: "0x8024D00C"

Updates are not installed successfully from Windows Update, from Microsoft
Update, or by using Automatic Updates after you perform a new Windows XP
installation or you repair a Windows XP installation
