::OK so I tried to sleep my computer and then I heard it boot with the
Vista song from the other room.
So I came back and logged on and received some message about it having
a blue screen.
My networking controllers seemed to have disappeared and it said I have
to install them.
After several reboots it didn’t solve the problem.
However, I noticed that in the back of my computer, the network jacks
(even the unplugged one) had orange lights on them and wouldn’t change
through the boot and shutdown cycles.
So I unplugged my computer to get rid of all power and started it back
up.
Now my network controllers are back and everything seems to work.
I did notice and error message like box pop up with a “bing” real quick
and disappear. I think the title of the window was like “Visual
Fortran” or something.
Any ideas on what this is? Virus? Coincidence? Common problem?
This never happened to me before.::
