A weird problem of DVDRW

I have a dell dimension 9200 along with vista home basic. When I installed
an additional DVDRW (Lite-on LH-20A1L), it cannot explore an written DVD
through windows explore. But actually it read the disk, since I can find the
files under DOS or play the files using nero home essential. The problem is
only of windows explorer. When I tried to open an window through the
autoplay, a window was opend but subsequently closed. Is there any method or
patch to solve this problem? Any help is highly appreciated.
