Hi,
I searched a long time but did not find a solution for my problem. I hope
that anyone here can help me. I upgraded from XP to Vista (Business).

I have two user accounts: One for myself and I for my colleagues.
The welcome Screens shows both accounts but I can not select one as default.
So I have to select my account and enter the password everytime.
With XP like logon I just needed to enter my password.

I know, that I can switch to an alternative welcome screen with no accounts,
where I must enter my username and password.
But I don't want to enter my username evertime I start my windows.

I would like to start up my pc and enter my password directly. It does not
matter, whether it is the welcome screen with all accounts and one is
selected by default or it is the welcome screen without accounts and just
fields for username/password but username is filled with default/last logged
in user.

In other words: I just want it, like it worked for years in older Windows
versions.

Thanks for any help.
Chris

Hi Chris,

This will show you how to set your computer to logon automatically into
one of the user accounts when started. You can turn it off when you
prefer it not to. However, the other user and you both will be starting
up into this account.

Hope this helps,
