Well.
I Beta tested Vista along with Office 2007, I was not impressed. (I really
tried to use it too).
I think I'm gonna load up Ubunyu linux and Open Office on my removable hard
drive again (my beta has expired)
and so it begins!

LOL

I, well....can sort of tolerate it. Haven't found anything that makes it a
"gotta have".

Lots of aggravations, learning curve to find where they hid and moved all
the things I knew how to control is steep, and, as in all new versions of
Windows, it's less and less MY computer and more and more Redmond's.

Fer'instance: Can anyone explain why you create restore points in System
Properties, but use those restore points in System Restore? Why were the
two actions split apart? Dumb.

It's too bad that your newsreader doesn't have a spell-checker. You're
obviously not using Windows Mail.

I had a bad start. The first installation failed but a clean install worked
perfectly.

You post on top...I prefer that.
I have 2 HP notebooks with XP and Vista on my desktop...they are very
similiar in operation.
My Flight Simulator X was crappy on XP but it is very realistic on Vista.
I'm very pleased with Vista Basic...not going any higher unless I buy a new
desktop with it pre-installed.

True on the aggravations...I have time to just look around and learn.
One thing I don't like is having to defrag both my hardrives when I only
want to defrag the main drive.
