Went to 64bit from 32bit on Vista and key not working...

Ok, I wanted to start using 64bit Vista Home Premium. I bought and have the
32bit version. I ordered a 64bit version from Microsoft's website. I
installed the 64bit version, using my same key. When I go to activate it, it
says it's already in use? I seriously hope they don't expect me to buy
another key just because I went to 64bit...any help would be appreciated.

As has been stated many times on the newsgroup, you will have to use
telephone activation and hang on to talk to an operator and explain your
situation. Assuming you have uninstalled the 32-bit version you will be
able to get activated.

Not a headache at all. Simply use the telephone activation. You may have to
drill through until you get a live operator .. but once you do they should
activate your copy of Windows.

Yea, but this will happen every time after you have installed Vista once so
what the **** is the point of having internet activation? Internet
activation is only good once on Vista.

Yep, that worked just fine. Thanks for the input. And Vista has been a
headache...ever since beta, but it's fast and perdy! Thanks again.

I've used my key three times now (same system each time). It's activated
using the internet every time. To say internet activation only works once
per key is wrong. In fact I used the key twice in one day when I first got
Vista (due to an error I made during installation).

Better yet douche bag, why not go to the public restroom and troll for a
right wing wacko republican for some gay sex? Just FYI.

You can then use Telephone Activation to contact the motel, Just FYI.
