WGA failure After Recovery

I had some serious Malware issues that required a Recovery Console repair..

I got XP up again and working then had to call MS to re register my XP Pro.
I did that.
Finally got on the 'net and Windows Update has tried running over and over
again and Fails at the WGA everytime with: (KB892130).

I read thorough here and tried the WGA Diagnostic. It shows my XP as
GENUINE, which it is.. I rebooted and now I have the "XP is no longer up to
date" Icon..
My Updates fail over and over now.. I tried reinstalling Legit Check as
well, as advised here. Then I tried the WGA Diagnostic and Rebooted...etc...

How can I get past this.. I am ready to scream here...

Get Dial-a-Fix:
http://wiki.djlizard.net/Dial-a-fix

Use its options to fix:
- Windows Installer
- Windows Update
- All the Registration Center options.

Turn off the "Empty System32\Catroot 2"
Do NOT do "Flush SoftwareDistribution".

Then click "GO" and wait until it is done... Reboot may be needed.

- Download/Install Windows Update v3.
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=91237
(You may need to install it using the command line switch "/wuforce" right
after an additional reboot - immediately after logging in.)

- Download/Install the 927891 patch.
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...9-404327772E5A

- Reboot.

- Visit http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ and scan for/install updates.

- Come back and let us know how things went!

Shenan-
Thanks for the info. Did all that as instructed. But when I go to the link
you provided for scanning for Windows Updates, I still get the same exact
"error".. Here's a recap...
Upon shutdown after all that,, I was given the choice of shutting down and
installing updates..823559 I think...

After that, my sys tray still showed updates Still needed, so I tried that
again and Service Pack 2 update started... That's where I'm at now. I will
report back in about an hour..
THanks
Jo
P.S.
One thing to note is that in the Dial a Fix application it could not repair
mscoree.
Here is some of the WGA DIagnostic report....

Well I got windows update workign again following your instructions with the
EXCEPTION of scanning for updates at Windows Update. When I instead clicked
on the Windows Update Icon that appeared in my sys tray after following your
instructions, THAT allowed me to get the updates without a failure.
THANKS..
