Hi All,

Just had an MS email re the WGA KB892130 problem we've all got.

"We have discovered the problem and I will be sending out an update today
with a method of fixing the problem. This error shows up on a subset of
machines that have permission issues on a registry key. Gary Caldwell.
Microsoft."

Anyone seen the update yet?

Its good that things are moving forward as I am aware that the fix that
worked for me is not going to work for everybody just like some of the other
ideas.

I have no idea what 'permission issues on a registry key' means but would be
delighted to have it explained to me (In a nutshell) since there is something
that is preventing this file self-installing and I wouldn't be surprised if
it prevented other update software doing so.

Good Luck.

I cannot install WGAV Tool through Windows Update or KB892130 as suggested
below. Receive error message that WGAV partially installed. WGAV is listed
in Add/Remove programs in Control Panel but I cannot delete to enable
reinstall. Do you know if new patch from Gary Caldwell will address this
problem?

Hi floricicia, bowcon,

Just tried Gary Caldwell's fix that he has noted two posts above this one on
the board and it has worked fine. Three new windows updates downloaded and
installed with no problems.

Floricicia, think you said you did music, if you've never heard of it
there's a CD called Florodora, it's my favourite, recorded c1900, supposed to
be the first musical show ever recorded. Sound quality is so ghastly it is
magnificent in its awfullness! Some indexes list it incorrectly as Florodoro.
Good luck, Bye Bye.

Albert.
