WGA Update (KB905474)

I downloaded an automatic update, Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications
(KB905474), on 7/6/2006, and since then my computer has been having many
various problems. My Windows XP Professional software is purchased and
legitimate, and I don't get any notifications saying the opposite, but my
system boots extremely slowly, freezes on Turn Off or Restart, and cannot
access any of the networking hardware.

Please help! I don't want to reformat!

KB905474 is currently an optional component, although it's grouped as
a High Priority Update. The EULA you accepted in order to get the update
says that it's not uninstallable.There is no official and proper way of uninstalling.

Look around. Find an unofficial and improper way of uninstalling.

I don't see how that particular update would cause the problems you describe,
nonetheless, use System Restore.

Use System Restore to Undo Changes if Problems Occur
