WGA version

I am running Windos XP Pro.
According to Add/Remove, I am running WGA version 1.5.0532.2. It does not
appear to be causing any problems. Is ther any advantage to updating this
"pilot" version?

Yes, install the latest version which is 1.5.540.0.

where can i find this...my windows that i'm running says it's not genuine and
it's going to cost me $150 to buy a new one. where can i download a version
of XP?

1. Download and install the MGA Diagnostic Tool:

2. After running the MGA Diagnostic Tool, click
on the "Windows" tab and then click on "Copy to Clipboard".

Carey, I have a Dell laptop and a Dell desktop. I haven't installed the
WGNotification on either as I fail to understand how I would benefit by
being told that my WinXP is genuine. Or do you mean WGA which is necessary
for updates? The terms are certainly confusing.
