Which to hook up first, wired or wireless network?

Greetings,

I need to slam my laptop again.

Which do I connect first, wired connection network or wireless network?

At present the laptop can see the network when wired, and the Internet. But the wireless can not see the other computers on my network.

As I recall when I got this laptop, I hooked up the cable for my network first and did most of the setup. Later I turned on the wireless and did that. It didn't matter back then
which was hooked up because it saw the other computers.

This time the wireless only sees the Internet.
