I want to find the newsgroup which might help me address the problem I have
with "windows installer" wanting to run and to run - to distraction. Is
this the newsgroup I want?

If your talking about Windows XP then....

Better group for that question is:

microsoft.public.windowsxp.setup_deployment

or

microsoft.public.windowsxp.general
