Nick, if you read this...
It is usually a very good idea to completely remove video drivers before
installing new ones, which is why most people suggest you do not let
Windows Update install them for you, obviously it cannot remove the old
driver first if you do it that way.
What often happens is you end up with half working half not working and
if you haven't tried this you might think about uninstall present
drivers, reboot (Be prepared for a messed up screen) and then install
new driver without doing anything else and without your Antivirus /
Security stuff running. Of course new drivers are not always "Better"
and unless you want to experiment then stick with what works...
