Why am I getting repeat requests for Windows Update?

Hello:

I have automatic Windows Update turned on. Over the last 10 days, I have
been getting notification that there's an update available (KB896688). Even
after installing it and getting notified that the update was successful, it
shows up again after an hour.

How can I install it once and for all and not get these duplicate
notifications?

Thanks.

Robert:

No, that was not the answer. I worked with a very friendly Microsoft
technical support gentleman and the issue had to do with not enough security
privileges.

I was doing it with an account that was part of the Administrator group but
that did not seem to satisfy. Once I signed up with the Administrator account
and clicked on the update icon, it was successful and I stopped getting the
reminders.
