Why cant I see the the up-to-date message history?

Hi all,
When I right click the friend,view the message history.But I cant see the
newest message,but many days before.Does who knowe why does it?

If you speacking with somebody (i.e. your IM window is open) and you want to
view the history with that person, you can't see it until that IM window is
closed. After you closed that window, the history is updated. (Just checked
and it works).

But if you don't have any open windows and you can't view the history, you
have "local" problems. Because it should work fine, the history is updating
immediately as soos as you close the window.
