I tried dictating some text in Word Pad, and it seemed to go fairly well, but
after using the "Correct (word in error)" command, I tried dictating the same
sentence and the word still showed as an error. I repeatedly corrected the
word, and it still continues to come up wrong, so it seems that the Speech
Recognition module is not really learning anything from the correction
procedure. Anyone else having this problem? Does anyone have a solution?
Also, I ran Dragon Naturally Speaking about 10 years ago, and that had a text
editor you could use to write a document that you could then dictate so that
the software would then improve recognition reliability. I don't see such an
option in the Windows Vista Speech Recognition module. Does anyone have an
idea how this can be accomplished? The speech training offered within the
module is too brief to really be effective. Does the training module use a
text script that we can access and edit to our liking? That would seem to be
what is needed - either that, or give us several more training session
add-ons.
