Why do I see both mumble and mumble.v2 as users?

On my system there are two entries in the Users subdirectory: pcrable (which
is my user account) and pcrable.v2. Any guidance on why that is the case?

Hi,

Either a second account with the same name was created or, more likely, the
original one was corrupted in some fashion and a new user profile was
created by the system.
