Why doesn't live messenger add more choices to voice

AOL, Yahoo, and Skype messenger all offer you a number where you can receive
inbound calls from phones. They also allow voice mail if you're not on the
messenger or don't feel like talking at the moment. Why hasn't this been
implemented into the new live messenger?
Also, why hasn't more of the vista features been utilized? Like the
sidebar.

Yes, they've totally missed the mark on VoIP. Hopefully in due time they'll catch up.

Ignoring the new bitmap slapped on and some compatibility updates, Messenger really isn't in
its Vista-prime. We'll have to wait another full release for that.
