Why don't I have the "search" button on the conversation window?

The "search" button disappeared for times. I've thought the newer version
removed this feature, but I found another WLM account has this button in his
conversation windows in superise. The two passport are logged on with the
same computer and both are invited passports. Please tell the reason of the
difference. Very thanks~

perhaps your HOTMAIL account is in a different local?

Mine does not show the search on one that is not set to the US
