I run Windows XP Home Edition, and I am connected to high-
speed Internet for many hours every day. Why has SP2 not
been downloaded yet by automatic updates? Is there a
delay that we don't know about?

Thanks

have you actually requested new downloads manually (Start, Control Panel,
Windows Update)?
MS is apparently not delivering the update to everyone at the same time,
so it may simply not be available to you yet, via AU.

It's been answered a hundred times....it's on its way. 100 million plus
downloads can't all happen at once.

Okay, they've finally posted SP2 for manual download.
This morning it wasn't available.

Incase you need earlier than it arrives to you, you can download it yourself
or verify of automatic updates are configured properly. If you want to verify
your PC is setup correctly for auto updates, you can
follow instructions from
http://www.microsoft.com/athome/secu...p/updates.aspx

Or, Let the wizard from website do it for you.
http://protect.microsoft.com/securit...en/default.asp

Alternatively you could download the full install from following link and
install it yourself. Please note the full install download is approx 270 MB
large so for slow connection it would long time

Are you sure SP-2 is not installed?
Have you checked your Automatic Update settings?
Right click My computer and Click "Properties".
Click "Automatic Update" tab.

Is your computer ready for SP-2:

To see what has been installed, download and run the Belarc Advisor from
http://www.belarc.com
Open Internet Explorer, Choose Windows update from the Tools drop down list
and update to your heart's content...
Are automatic updates turned on?
