Interesting...IE 8 loads and works flawlessly on my copy of Windows XP
SP 3, and also on Windows 7. Why do you suppose that is? I can only
guess, since you provided zero in the way of information to diagnose
your problem...not even what version of Windows you have. So here are my
guesses:
Do you have the same experience when you start Internet Explorer from
the 'no add-ons' icon?
If you have XP: Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools >
Internet Explorer (No Add-Ons)
If you have Vista or 7: Start > type Internet Explorer in the Start
Search box > click Internet Explorer (No Add-Ons)
Do you have the same experience after you have reset Internet Explorer
settings?

Problems with Internet Explorer can also be caused by by malicious
software ('malware') that you have unwittingly installed on your computer.
Web pages that were developed for previous versions of Internet
Explorer, or with proprietary HTML or scripting extensions, might not
function the same way in Internet Explorer 8. IE 8 comes with
Compatibility View, which may make these older pages viewable until
their developers update their code.
Good luck.
