Why Live Messenger Beta is still an hopeless thing for Office-Outlook users?

Hello,
I still wonder why the messenger (Version 2009 Build 14.0.5027.908)
can't detect the existence of "Outlook Connector" ... :|

Is there any hack or workaround for this?
Open Windows Live Mail or the Live Mail Website is not really useful.

I hadn't thought of this scenario to be honest, but you're right. The last time I went
through this (and I assume it's still the same), there's interprocess communication going on,
it's not a simple registry setting or anything and thus, less obvious to workaround.
