Do you really think that word processor is a good replacement for MS Paint?
I have MS Office 2007 and Open Office.org too in my computer. But for
certain tasks, like where it is important exteremely quick launch of
application for quickly cutting out some details from my screenshot, I think
those office applications are not good alternatives. The only problem is,
that if I need to cut several details in a row, the MS Paint does not
remember last saved directory. Otherwise it is super app for this task. Other
picture editors, that I use, are much slower. You do not need a cannon to aim
a fly.
