Okay, the darn cat keeps sitting on my lap top and she must have changed one
of the settings because now my tray (the long strip at the bottom of the
screen that shows what windows you have open, etc) keeps lowering down and
disappearing. If I hover my cursor down in that area, the tray pops back up
but it won't stay. Anyone know how I can get it to stay visible like it used

Hi,

Right click it while it's up, choose properties. Uncheck the line to
auto-hide the taskbar.

Sounds like your Taskbar is set to auto-hide.

Hit Start on your keyboard, type Taskbar and Start menu > select 'Taskbar'
(tab) > under Taskbar appearance uncheck 'Auto-hide the taskbar'.
