Greetings z,

The main reason why it would be gone is if Messenger can't reach its configuration service
when you sign in, as then the Video Call feature will be disabled.

Thanks for reply. I am using Microsoft Livecam, it is functioning no
problem. I don't understand why Window Live Messenger can't reach its
configuration service. It works previously, however, no matter what I tried,
it is just disabled (the icon is there, but disabled). Could you please tell
me how to fix this problem?
Thanks!

Rerun the Audio and Video Wizard before making a Video Call.

Note: Sometimes it is clearer for the Voice and hearing the other
person, if you call the person using Windows Live Messenger's feature of
Call a Computer, then Add Video to the conversation by clicking on the
Camera icon under their picture.

You won't be able to enlarge the video to Full screen, though in this
type of call, but the voices will be clearer.

Thanks for reply. I run the wizard, but the video call still not available.
By the way, I actually found this may not related to my settings because wit
some contact the video is accessible, some are not. May be this is depend on
the other party's setting or status (online or not online, etc.). If this is
true, how can I notify the other party to set their video call active?
because I know some of them are not expert of video call like me, they may
be not aware that they have disabled the video call.

Make a Voice Only Call first. That is not dependent on their Camera. And
you don't want them using their Camera at all, because if they are using
their camera for something else, it won't be available for Live Messenger.
Also the Camera must be attached to the computer, if it isn't, it isn't
going to be available.

Some people who have Cameras, purchased the Camera for something else
and some people don't like use the Camera at all, even if they have a
Camera.
