Granted that they are some real issues in Vista but most of it is
related to hardware and 3rd party software or drivers. You can't blame
Microsoft if you don't find the driver for your printer, you should
blame the manufacturer for not keeping up with tech changes Regarding
performance, if you have the right hardware, Vista runs as fast as the
other OS. Also keep in mind that You can't compare Vista's performance
with XP as you can't compare XP's performance with 98!!! There will be
Vista haters but when I saw Vista after XP, I said ''WOW''!!

You get features like aero interface, improved security, flip 3d,
parental controls, windows media center, windows dreamscene, improved
search and photo gallery, sidebar gadgets and so much more

The WOW starts here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xC5uEe5OzNQ

Note that the above video shows Beryl and that Beryl has been improved
and is now called Compiz Fusion.

Whoever made that video had a middle of the road graphics card ( or used the
Synaptic generic drivers ).
Wait until it crashes...lol.
Or the title bars disappear...lol.
Or after an hour, get tired of wobbly windows.
Beryl merged with Compiz...didn't really improve it too much either.

It's an old video. Imagine what a good graphics card would do.

Never had that happen since 06. Oops.

Vis a vie the windows in Windows? You're kidding, right?

It's constantly being improved, unlike Windows which *never* improves
the appearance.

With your PC, it maybe never crashes.
It did on mine and many others...I had to use the 173.08 drivers, and mucho
tweaking to get it stable.
But, as a Vista user, perhaps my expectations are higher.

No, on three PCs and two PCs upstairs from me. And we're talking about
a range of a Pentium 3 up to an AMD2.

And the specs of your computer are?

You only read Frank related posts here? LOL! This group is full of

My computer specs are :
A high end PC with 6 speakers !
Onboard audio and a X-Fi ExtemeMusic.
I'm stuck with the onboard audio in Linux...obviously.

Toaster NG's are full of people whom can't get the bread to turn to
toast. So what.

Have you visited your open sores **** hole lately? Maybe you can't stand
to see all of the problems people are having with that POS toy os, huh?
Oh, and you know nothing about Vista cause you're too broke to afford a
copy of it!
Get lost troll. You have no business being here.

Sorry, but I don't know where you live, Frank, so I can't visit you and
look at your open sores in your **** hole.

If you are referring to the Ubuntu newsgroup, I see people with problems
getting expert help and solving the problems. All we *ever* see from you
on this newsgroup is you acting like a junk yard dog trying to chase
everyone away.

A lie. I have a copy of Ultimate sitting on the shelf and as soon as I
can get around to it, it will go on a high end machine for gaming
because that's all it's good for.

> Get lost troll. You have no business being here.

You're the troll who should leave. If you did, the noise level here
would be practically inexistent.

What you say above can be found with free programs for xp ...

that's no real reason to suffer with the most badly written OS ever made,
aka VISTA!
