Ludicrous lack of speed.
Intel Quad 2.4GHz 4GRam 32 bit OS.
Ridiculous!
LG BLURAY and Samsung DVD on this machine are both slooooow.

Is there any Vista compatible DVD writer that is cheap or free?

I like free especially when I am trying to compensate for the shortcomings
of vista.

When are we getting our next service pack? I hear it is called Windows 7
but will still be version 6 if you look inside. Free right? We should
write a petition to Obama to get on MS case and write decent a OS!

Hi Lorin--

Your question: Is there any Vista compatible DVD writer that is cheap or
free?

You betcha. Goshdarnit. You Can't go wrong with Power Iso. It's shareware
which means they will prompt you to register, but it's very good and it's
free. There are a lot of others, but I use it to burn Isos all the time and
it does a great job and you can pick the speed from about 4 default choices.
It does a number of other things as well.

http://www.poweriso.com/

Enjoy,

CH

The Vista burning software is in my experience slow to the point of being
unusable. Try
http://www.cdburnerxp.se/
which is free and does not include adware or malicious components and which,
in spite of its name, DOES work perfectly well with Vista.
See more on that at:

Size/OS: 3 MB / Windows 2K / XP / 2003 / Vista
