Why is Windows Update failing - Pt2

Thanks D@NY for the suggestion of downloading MP10 to obtain genuine
download. Now, when I return to windows update, the following install still
fails (or kicks out):

Update for Windows XP (KB898461)
This update installs a permanent copy of Package Installer for Windows to
enable software updates to have a significantly smaller download size.

Any ideas on why this is failing or how I can install?
