Why won't my hard drives show up under "my computer"?

So I'm having this issue when clicking on "my computer" .Usually you will see
your Hard drive information etc...however in my case lately, it hangs. Then
says Explorer not responding.

Is this an OS issue or something else?

Running Vista 64bit
74 Raptor HD
6859 intel duo core
