If you're not in an office but rather at home (on the Internet) would
there be a reason to spend more for 'Vista Ultimate'?

Why would anyone buy Vista *anything* when Ubuntu is available for free
and is a far superior operating system. Check it out at www.ubuntu.com

Ultimate will allow you to set the culture language to be used.
