Have you reset your router?
Is your router set to a certain channel?
Can you use other devices to connect to the router?

Some routers just have trouble with Vista.
It could be the driver for the wireless adapter, check the manufacturer's
website for an updated driver.
I would check to see if it will connect OK at a hotspot, like Starbucks.
If it does, your router may be incompatible or need a firmware update.
If you have a USB wireless adapter that is Vista compatible, try it.
You may want to call Acer, they may know a solution.

Hi everyone thanks for your replies on my acer 5920 comes an acer eNet
Management which by seeting up a new profile am able to connect wirelessly
which shows its not totally to do with the netgear router I still cant
connect if I try using the create home network on vista it must be to do with
how one must configure it one of the original problems I had was when I
opened the create home network it only showed other peoples networks as per
neighbours and not mine and to make matters worse even connected to one
because I didnt realise what I was doing can anyone tell me the right way to
set this up and how do I delete a network I made in error.
