Should be WLM new beta version.
Any problems found or It's better to keep Build

I'm sure that there will have been problems reported. On the other
hand, the release is an update that fixes bugs and such. At this time
it is optional, but it will surely become "critical" or required at
some point in the future.

And, as a reminder (of course, this means that the server that hosted
these groups at Microsoft is closed. The groups continue to exist on
news servers that don't honor the cancel news group message):
...................
The following was posted to the Microsoft.* newsgroups repeatedly:
Effective June 1, 2010 this newsgroup will be closed.

Where Should I go with the Closure of this Newsgroup?
Microsoft has a large selection of forums, many of which cover either
the same or closely related technologies to the ones found in the
newsgroups.
The forums have seen amazing growth and are an excellent place to
continue the discussion. We recommend that you start with

You are way more likely to learn about issues with this update in the
Winodws Live Forums and even at http://answers.microsoft.com

Hi, Andrea.

Yes, your new version is the latest to date (from the headers on your latest
message):
X-Newsreader: Microsoft Windows Live Mail 15.4.3538.513

Many of us have been running this version for a month or two. It sure
didn't fix ALL the bugs in 1109, such as the failure to quote properly. In
fact, I've not noticed any bug fixes; maybe I just don't use those features.
But this build seems solid, so I see no reason not to update your WLE.
(Remember that the Windows Live Essentials package is not mix'n'match: If
you update WLMail, you must also update any other parts you've installed,
such as WLMessenger or WL Photo Gallery. Even though I don't use some of
the components, I download the whole suite and let it install everything,
since I currently have plenty of disk space.)

Can this new Version be installed on top of the existing WLM or do we have
to uninstall the existing WLM first ?? My current version is Version 2011
(Build 15.4.3508.1109). Thanks for any help, Sam.

Hi, Sam.

Just go to the WLE download site, click "Download now", and "follow your
nose". ;<)
http://explore.live.com/windows-live...tials?os=other

It will automatically delete the previous version and install the new one in
its place. All your existing database will remain, untouched.

As I said in another post here today, we cannot "mix'n'match" WLE components
from different builds, so be sure to download the new versions of everything
(Messenger, Photo Gallery, etc.) that you are running now. In fact, unless
you are disk-space challenged, you might want to install the whole suite, as
I have done.

As others have echoed this is not a beta version.

It is the 3rd release of WL Essentials 2011 (of which WLM) is a component
(or the second QFE - 'quick fix engineering' release, thus QFE2)
- terminology wise it's being refrered as WLM 2011 QFE2
