Hi,

I got 2 domain using 2000 / 2003 seperately with external trust between.

The problem is a user in domain 2000 got error to read domain 2003's ad user
information.
The error is "Cannot display objects from this location because of the
following error: No authority could be contacted for authentication."
That could be solved to point the DNS to domain 2003 instead of domain 2000
in the user pc.

But this error did not happen at users in 2003 to read domain 2000's ad user
information.

Trust, ad and dns are working fine in both domain 2000 / 2003.

This is really odd.

Please advice.

Ray

Hello rayten,

Does this post belong to "win 2000 / 2003 ad problem" in microsoft.public.win2000.active_directory,
then please stick to the other posting as there is already an answer/question.

If not, is the trust you have between them a one-way or two-way trust?

Best regards
