I have read several post here and tried several things, and still cannot run
the update. I continue to get the message " Files required to use Microsoft
Update are no longer registered or installed on your computer ". I tried
registering the files individually as suggested on one post, and get to one
that won't register - "DllRegisterServer in MSKML3.dll failed. Return code
was 0x80070005". Most of the posts here are for XP, can someone help me with
2000. I am running SP4 - and went back and reinstalled that today to see if
it would reset the files...no luck. I Thanks.
