Win 2008 Server: Printing via Terminal Services problem

I am running a Clarion for Windows (developed via) application on a virtual
Win 2008 server.

When I connect to the server, my local printer shows as the default.

When I run my application it locks up without any error messages. It
continues to run and I have to kill it via the task manager.

If I change the default printer to a local PDF printer for example, my app
runs fine.

My local printer is a network printer BTW connected to my Win 2003 server.

I am running the latest .Net and RDC software.

Any ideas?
