Win ME Kernal386, other kernals, etc

Hello. My windows ME tells me my kernal386.exe is dated 2000. There MUST be
an update. Also I read about updates like service pack 4 for WIN ME, and I
didn't know there was even a service pack 1. I go to MS updates often but I
am always told to download the same file " KB828026 critical update for
windows media player Script commands " -- It downloads time after time,
always the same darn file... that is the only update I get. Surely there is
an update for WINME? Please help. THank you. DougM
